Most dogs should have their first dental cleaning at 2 years of age. Small breed dogs should definitely receive care no later than one year of age. You don't want to wait much longer than this, as signs of periodontal disease are commonly seen by these ages.  Brushing your dog's teeth is essential as it removes food particles and bacteria. Without proper brushing, these particles stick to the teeth, allowing bacteria to thrive and produce tartar. This can lead to dental disease, causing bad breath, tooth loss, and pain. If your pup requires additional dental care, we will recommend a visit to a veterinarian.

Please note that dogs with back pain, recent major surgery (within the past month), or significant behavioral challenges may not be eligible for our services.
